Bluelines at it again: 1 dead, 2 hurt

Blueline menace is back to haunt Delhiites. In the third accident involving a Blueline this month, a 24-year-old man was mowed down by a speeding bus on Wednesday morning. The incident took place at the Sarai Pipal Thala bus stop situated just opposite the Azadpur’s wholesale fruit market at 8.15 am. Police said the victim, identified as Sanjay Kumar Nishad, was rushed to the Bapu Jagjiwan Ram Hospital where he was declared brought dead by the doctors. His nephew too was injured in the incident. The deceased was a resident of Sahipur village near Shalimar Bagh. A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against the driver Subhas Chandra (50). He was later arrested in the evening. The bus (DL-1PA 4319) plying on route number 982 has also been impounded.
