Katrina’s stand on coffee shop incident
Katrina Kaif is extremely livid about a rumour that reported that she was manhandled by boyfriend Salman Khan and slapped at a public coffee shop in Mumbai.
And Katrina is so upset at the false and baseless rumors making the rounds that Katrina has finally decided to clarify.
Says Katrina" Enough is enough, I have never talked about my personal life and don't intend to, and because I have always believed that what is personal is personal. But this is too much. The story that has appeared is utter rubbish and fabricated. I suspect that it's been spread by vested interest with ulterior motives. I would like to repeat that nothing of this sort has happened. Normally I don't like to clarify but sometimes one has to take a stand and this is one of one of those times.
According to sources close to her it is for the first time Katrina Kaif has seriously clarified.
She has always believed in being dignified and keeping her personal life in the private domain. But she seems quite upset when Salman is painted in a bad light and the fact is upsetting her more, and therefore she felt that she had to take a stand and put a foot on the rumour floating around.

As Shah Rukh walked down the red carpet at the Berlinale, besotted girls and star-struck fans were seen shouting and crying out the superstar’s name. It wasn't a reincarnation of Elvis or the Beatles walking the red carpet. Shah Rukh Khan, who arrived at the festival for a screening of his home production, was welcomed by girls screaming out high-pitched love messages.
“I don't want to sound pompous, but I am here, so Bollywood is here already,” Shah Rukh was quoted as saying.
So the star got busy signing autographs and interacting with fans. But soon the level of hysteria spiraled out of control. Some of the fans had to be taken off the venue.

It's official: Sanjay Dutt is married to Manyata
It's official now. Manyata admitted on Saturday that she has formally married her long-time boyfriend, Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt.
The actor had earlier denied reports that they were married.
However, reports were doing the rounds after the couple jointly issued an advertisement in newspapers congratulating Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on his 82nd birthday last month.

New Delhi, Feb 08: Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif on Friday dismissed as "complete rubbish" that actor Salman Khan had slapped her at a coffee joint in Mumbai. "The reports are complete rubbish. I was never slapped by him," said Katrina on the sidelines of launch of a spa product here. A media report quoting the staff of a coffee joint frequented by the duo in Mumbai had reported the incident. "I would not like to comment further on Salman," she shot back as reporters sought her reaction on the report.

Although Maharani of Jaipur Rani Padmini, a direct descendant of Jodha Bai, has showered praises on Gowariker for maintaining historical accuracy, the Karni Sena, a Rajput community organisation, is accusing him of distorting facts.
Its members have burnt film posters in Jaipur and moved court to stay the film's release even though they are yet to see the film.

According to the Rajput community in Rajasthan, director Ashutosh Gowariker has distorted facts in his magnum opus Jodha Akbar, which is slated to be released on February 15. As per Narendra Singh Rajawat, head of the Rajput Sabha, Gowariker is presenting Jodhabai as Mughal emperor Jalaluddin Akbar's wife, which according to him is factually incorrect. The head of the Rajput Sabha also claimed that such distortions of historical facts had hurt the feelings of the Rajput community.

Mimoh to appear on screen…finally
Mimoh, Mithun Chakravarthy’s son who was supposed to make his debut years ago will finally be seen in Dharmesh Darshan’s next.
‘He – the only one’ was supposed to be his debut film, however, due to certain reasons the film was shelved. His second film Jimmy had some release date issues and there is no sign of his third- ‘The Murderer.’

Karan Johar in Ekta’s next….
Karan Johar is one of the most reputed director’s in Bollywood. Though he directs just one movie a year, he is always seen making appearances on talk shows or judging reality shows on TV. Recently, he was seen doing a cameo in his very close friend, SRK’s home production, Om Shanti Om.
This year too, he makes his presence in two movies, one would be Madhur Bhandarkar’s Fashion and the other C Company directed by his good friend Ekta Kapoor. In the film, Karan will be seen hosting the game show, which is a funny version of Kaun Banega Crorepati.

Katrina’s stand on coffee shop incident
Katrina Kaif is extremely livid about a rumour that reported that she was manhandled by boyfriend Salman Khan and slapped at a public coffee shop in Mumbai.
And Katrina is so upset at the false and baseless rumors making the rounds that Katrina has finally decided to clarify.
Says Katrina" Enough is enough, I have never talked about my personal life and don't intend to, and because I have always believed that what is personal is personal. But this is too much. The story that has appeared is utter rubbish and fabricated. I suspect that it's been spread by vested interest with ulterior motives. I would like to repeat that nothing of this sort has happened. Normally I don't like to clarify but sometimes one has to take a stand and this is one of one of those times.
According to sources close to her it is for the first time Katrina Kaif has seriously clarified.

Kangana Steps in Amrita's Place
Unlike in Hollywood where the sequels have the same star cast, our Bollywood doesn't believe in that it seems. Sequels are planned but the original stars are replaced.The sequel of Golmaal, Malamaal Weekly and Dhamaal are been made with a few stars of the original stars replaced. Now the same trend is being followed by the Bhatt brothers who are making a sequel to Raaz. The original which had Bipasha Basu and Dino Morea are not part of the sequel.Producers Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt along with director Mohit Suri are making the sequel of Raaz and have titled it Raaz 2. The film was supposed to have Amrita Rao in place of Bipasha Basu but now she too has been replaced by Kangana Ranaut. The film will go on floors this month.
Ghar Ki Lakshmi actress threatens to quit
High profile Television actress Nupur Alankar has threatened to quit the Zee TV serial Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan if her character is not given meatier storylines.
Nupur plays the happy-go-lucky mother-of-one Halki, and has been in the serial from episode one, but her recent lack of screen time and no good storylines has made her take this drastic action. She has warned the makers and has given them a deadline by which her character should have more of a role to play.
If Nupur does leave the serial, then it would be the third time she has done it, with Saath Phere and Karan Apna Apna being the other two.
Nupur plays the happy-go-lucky mother-of-one Halki, and has been in the serial from episode one, but her recent lack of screen time and no good storylines has made her take this drastic action. Now Govinda is after sexy Celina Jaitley
The Bollywood rumor-mill has finally over-boiled… as it now churns out news of a love affair between actor Govinda and sex-starlet Celina Jaitley.
Apparently, the story began last week when Celina held a get-together at her house where Govinda was invited along with Kelly Dorji, Mohit Suri and Upen Patel. When the party ended, Govinda left for home with the rest of the guests, but he returned an hour later and spent the night at her house.
This story has been rebuked by Celina, who has angrily stated, “It’s such rubbish. Today is my parents’ anniversary but they are very upset with the turn of events. I live with them and such slander just shows cheap thinking. Chi Chi is somebody I like as a person and an actor.

Saif and Kareena have fight over Salman
Now here is something that you may not have heard in the news… Salman Khan has got in-between star-crossed lovers Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan.
Saif and Kareena were attending a birthday party for Kareena’s good friend Amrita Arora when suddenly Bebo spotted Salman and started hanging out with him, instead of her boy. Kareena only went to talk with Salman once his girlfriend Katrina left the party, which was around 2.30am. This whole situation got up Saif’s nose and the Nawab got a little jealous.
Adds a source, “Saif is a very possessive guy. He doesn’t approve of Kareena’s display of affection for other male actors. Also, there were lots of big stars at the party (Salman, SRK) and in a situation like that, Saif gets really insecure. It was very obvious that he was getting irritated with Bebo’s interaction with the other macho men around. It doesn’t help that Saif doesn’t have too many friends in the industry, while Bebo is friends with most actors.”
Normally when Kareena attends parties with Saif she keeps herself restrained, but one look at Salman on this drunky night, and she went all gooey at the feet. Kuch Kuck Hota Hai's little Anjali is back
Sana Saeed was loved and adored, as she lit up the screen playing the role of little Anjali, who sparked off the love story between Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in the super hit Kuch Kuch Hota Hain, a film that made her a household name in 1998.
She is now working in a television soap— titled Babul Ka Aangan Chootey Na and for her choosing the small screen over films came naturally for her.
Sana says, "The reason i took up this serial is because I can adjust my studies along with the serial, I'm working only for 10 days in a month and shooting for 12 to 15 hours a day,so I can easily manage to catch my studies,and it works out better."
She is currently pursuing an advertising diploma and plans to go abroad for further studies.
"I have been working as an actor since I was three-years-old, so I enjoy it, but I also want to focus on my studies. So far, I have managed both studies and acting pretty well and as long as that happens, I will keep doing it", adds the young actress.

Chak De girls back on the field
It's the Chak De effect. The film that aimed at bringing back the attention of the cricket-crazy Indians to the national game seems to have certainly worked for the original star cast of the film. The Chak De girls, some of whom are real-life hockey players, have found a new inspiration in the game. After the film, they are pursuing their passion with more vigour.
Nisha Nair (circled)Remember the petit Soi Moi? Soi Moi played by Nisha Nair was spotted at the turf of Bombay Hockey Association and Kimi Lalhming aka Mary, who played defender, will be passing out as a hockey coach very soon. Kimberly Miranda aka Rachna Prasad in Chak De, has developed a passion for sports and has chosen to play football.Nisha Nair who is a state-level hockey player has already participated in the selection game for the national team. Kimi is a goalkeeper from Mizoram and has enrolled for a diploma in hockey coaching at Netaji Subhash National Institute of Sports in Patiala.A unit member of Chak De says, “Kimi, who is currently undergoing training in Punjab, will soon become a hockey coach. Most of the girls in the film, who are real-life hockey players, will definitely make a difference to the game. In fact, Chak De has already started having its effect on the women's hockey federation and all the shortcomings associated with the game are being addressed.”
Kimi LalhmingNisha Nair on the other hand, participated in a mixed game to select players who will represent the women's nationals. Nisha had just returned from the field when we called her. She says, “I am currently in Jalandhar for the selection of the senior nationals. In fact, I just returned from the field.” Talking about the other Chak De girls who are players, she says, “Kimberly has chosen to play football and Kimi is training to be hockey coach in Patiala. I have been trying to call her but have been unable to get in touch.”Chak De had triggered debates whether the film will really draw people to the game. Talking about the criticism surrounding the film, Nisha says, “Chak De definitely had a positive effect on the game. Things have improved but a lot still needs to be done. What is certainly noteworthy is that women's hockey has earned a new place of respect in the Indian psyche.”

Salman gets slimmer
Salman Khan is consumed by an inexplicable urge to sport a slimmer waist and a fitter body. It's back to good ole times, it seems. This was quite evident as the actor hit the gym with a vengeance while filming for Boney Kapoor's production, Wanted in Chennai. So much so, that he was working out for four-and-a-half hours every day. Needless to say, his personal cook Zaffar was tossing up rich-in-protein meals for the master. And the results are here for all to see: Salman's waistline has reduced by 5 inches, and that too in just a matter of 25 days.So what prompted the actor to take his fitness and diet regiment so seriously? Manish Arwilkar, who has been training the actor for eight years now, explains: “Salman bhai felt the need to have a slimmer waist and a fitter body for Wanted. His waist size had become 36-37 inches. But after the rigorous training his waist size is 32 inches.” We hear the actor was shooting significant action sequences in Chennai, and naturally, wanted to flaunt his body. He used to do 1000 sit ups and 1000 leg raises on the sets before giving a shot, say unit members. During breaks, he will engage himself on treadmill followed by some cycling. A crew member further adds, “He worked extremely hard on his body during our Chennai schedule. He worked out twice a day without fail.” The actor's personal trainer Manish was also keeping a close watch on his meals. Salman thrived on 30 egg-whites, steamed vegetables, salmon, pomfret and chicken, and continues to do so. “Carbohydrates are a complete no-no. He only eats steamed and baked food. His diet comprises proteins like egg whites, fish and chicken,” says Manish.
Star singers meet with accident
Aneek Dhar and Sanchita Bhattacharya (winners of Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 and Lil Champs 2007 respectively) met with an accident near Guwahati on Monday. The singers had gone to Kokrajaar which is 250 kms from Guwahati to perform for a late night show. On their way back, early in the morning, their car was hit by a truck which was speeding down from the opposite direction in Dudnoi. The truck hit the car and fled from the scene. Bystanders at the mishap took them to the hospital. Sanchita has seriously injured her face and hand, while Aneek has a head injury. Even Sanchita's father, who was accompanying the singers, is serious and under observation in Guwalpada Civil Hospital, Guwahati.

The on-off love affair between hot new stars Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone seems to be back on… again!
Ranbir was spotted late on 3rd February driving his Honda -CRV from Bandra’s Carter Road to J W Marriott with Deepika Padukone sitting next to him. The two were spotted by various on-lookers who saw them talking and laughing.
The two actors have been linked but have always denied that they are in a relationship. Ranbir has been dating fellow young actress Sonam Kapoor while Deepika has been playing the field with a number of Cricketers.

Anupam Kher’s son Sikandar Kher and Abhishek Bachchan have been close since they were nippers, but surprisingly Sikander was not invited. It has been rumoured that Sikandar has done something to upset Big B’s little baby. No one is aware of what that might be and even Sikandar himself is lost.
Sikander contacted Abhishek and asked him as to why he wasn’t sent an invitation. To which Abhishek replied, “Because I didn’t send you one.” When Sikandar was asked about this, he said, “I don’t know what to say. I have never been invited formally for any of Abhishek’s events but have just been there. Abhishek’s like my brother. There is no formality for family. I find it ridiculous to even discuss this.”

'Amitabh won't act with Rekha'
It is Sareeka who plays the Big B's better-half in Shoojit Sircar's new film currently being shot in Simla.The mega-star has for some time been somewhat concerned about the absence of suitably strong and charismatic co-stars. According to a source close to the Big B, "Rekha, he won't act with. He has done enough films with Jaya Bachchan and Jaya Prada. Hema and he were a smashing success in Baghbaan but a flop in Babul. Dimple Kapadia and Sharmila Tagore don't click with Mr Bachchan. Hence he has lately gone into an experimental mode with co-stars, like Shefali Shah in Waqt, Rani Mukherjee in Black, Tabu in Cheeni Kum and Preity Zinta in The Last Lear."After her bravura performance in Parzania, Sareeka is an actress whom the Big B has wanted to pair himself with for some time now. The opportunity came after Tabu said no to Shoojit Sircar's untitled film.The pair is kindling unique chemistry in the frozen snowscapes of Simla and Manali.At 64, and with two major near-fatal illnesses behind him Amitabh Bachchan continues to surprise everyone including himself, with his zest energy and drive for excellence.Consider this. All of last week he shot from early morning till dusk for Shoojit Sircar's untitled film (earlier called Shoebite).Then in-between he flew to a remote village in UP for the inauguration of the girls's school named after his daughter-in-law… and rushed back to join the unit in Simla….all within a week.Says the deeply-appreciative director Shoojit Sircar, "Amitji is turning out to be a role model for all of us over here. In Manali and now in Simla we're frozen to our bones. Adding to our woes is the fact that all the scenes are being shot outdoors in the snow where most of us can't even see let alone feel anything. Amitji takes to the camera as though the freezing weather was just a prop. He's the first one to reach the location. He rehearses rigorously in the freezing temperature with Sareekaji who plays his wife."The film is about an autumnal couple rekindling their love for another in the snom-called climes of Manali and Simla.The last time the Big B was in Simla it was to shoot a portion of Sanjay Bhansali's Black. Snowfall had to be recreated in the studio for that film since the camera lenses were obstructed by the snow.Shoojit has no such problems. "I'm not shooting snowfall. Just capturing these two aging people in the snow. I find the snow very romantic. In fact I shot my first film Yahan with Jimmy Shergil and Minissha Lamba in the supposedly forbidden snow-scape of Kashmir." Jimmy Shergil also features in Sircar's second film. "He has a beautiful role I owe it to him after the way he stood by me during Yahan. Mumbai, (IANS) Ayesha Takia is shooting down roles that require her to wear skimpy clothes or get intimate with her co-star because she doesn't want to embarrass her family and boyfriend.
Ayesha is aware that her more uninhibited colleagues are benefiting while she refuses to get bold on camera. "But I don't mind losing out on roles. At least 10 years from now I don't want to look back and cringe at anything. I've a family and a boyfriend. And I don't want to embarrass anyone," Ayesha, who was recently seen in "Sunday" in a clean role, told IANS."There're things that I wouldn't do, like kiss and wear certain kinds of clothes. And yes that does put me at a disadvantage. But I'm very happy with the work that I'm getting. After 'Dor', I'm being taken seriously as an actress."She said no to Nagesh Kukunoor, who made "Dor"."I just couldn't do the kissing scene in 'Aashayein'. We tried to find a way out, but it didn't work out for me. Fortunately, for me, Nagesh is a dear friend. He didn't hold my 'no' against me. We completed 'Tasveer' with Akshay Kumar in Canada. And there was nothing there to make me uncomfortable." The actress has an exciting year ahead with films with big-league heroes. "I'm working with Akshay Kumar in Nagesh Kukunoor's supernatural-psychological thriller 'Tasveer'. Then I've Prabhu Deva's 'Wanted', an action film with Salman Khan. Here I don't have much to do. That's not all. Nana and Anil's gangster-duo of Uday and Majnubhai from Welcome may become a part of an ongoing series."Why not?" reasons an upbeat Anil as he revels in the success of Welcome. "Not only is it the biggest success of 2007 it's also the biggest hit in the comic genre of all times. Roles of all kinds, not just comic, are rolling in. This film has started a new phase in my career. Frankly when I accepted Welcome I didn't even read the script. I just said yes to Anees because I had worked with him in No Entry and we share a certain comfort level. But now for the sequel we've to take the characters to another level. The idea that Anees has narrated to me is quite interesting."In fact Anil is quite kicked by the idea of doing a whole series of films with Nana playing the two inseparable gangsters. "In Welcome Nana and I are like two halves of one character. Yes, it would be interesting to take the jodi ahead through a series. Nana and I go back a long way. And we do share very warm vibes."Anil grins at the memory of doing the item song Honth raseele with Nana. "It was quite quite crazy. Though we had a choreographer the poor boy went crazy trying to control us. We just wouldn't listen to him. Our movements were all so improvised."The "poor boy" choreographing the crazy song was none other than Ahmed Khan. "Do you know he was one of the kids in Mr India. Coincidentally I met Aftab Shivdasani who also played another kid in Mr India at a function recently. They've all grown up. But I certainly don't feel like I'm their senior. Hrithik refuses Yash Raj banner
Hrithik Roshan has apparently fallen out of favour with the Yash Raj banner. If sources are to be believed, Hrithik refused to be a part of Aditya Chopra’s next. This is not the new film Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi starring Shah Rukh Khan, announced on Friday, but another project which Aditya was contemplating.Totally differentAn industry insider reveals, “Hrithik has decided not to be a part of Aditya Chopra’s project. Adi had a film in mind that was to be a two-hero project. Aditya wanted Shah Rukh and Hrithik for it.”The source continues, “When Adi approached Hrithik, he declined the offer and gave him the clichéd reason of having a date problem. This was because he starts shooting for Anurag Basu’s film in March and Adi wanted his dates from May itself.”However, it is learnt that the real reason for the actor’s refusal is that now he only wants to star in films that are co-produced under his home banner Film Kraft. Continues the source, “All directors going for script narrations get the standard line of ‘why don’t you make this film for my dad’s banner’. Even the film Anurag Basu is making with Hrithik is a co-production between UTV, Basu and Film Kraft.”A source at Yash Raj who wanted to remain anonymous said, “Because of Hrithik not doing the film, Aditya scrapped the project. When Govinda met Celina
It was just another annual do, as her friend Tanuj Garg is down in Mumbai. Old friends and few professional ones, bonded over the bonfire, whistling, drinking, chatting, and making merry. Aamir Khan and Kajol may pair up once again
New Delhi, Feb 03: They were first seen in Ishq and then they set the screens afire in the super hit 'Fanaa'. And now the team of Aamir Khan and Kajol just might come back once again in Rajkumar Hirani's next film Idiot. If the buzz is to be believed, Kajol has already agreed to do the film in principle though she has not signed on the dotted line yet. But reportedly, Aamir has already signed the film that is most likely go on floors in July.
Valuable items 'stolen' from Britney's mansion
Britney’s Beverly Hills mansion has reportedly been robbed off some valuable possessions, says a source close to the singer.
According to the source, the 26-year-old star’s parents—Jamie and Lynne Spears, were "shocked" to find that the valuable items "had been stolen" after they returned home following an emergency hearing where Jamie was given legal control over Britney.
The ’Toxic’ star’s parents immediately called up the Los Angeles Police Department to file the report.
According to Jamie and Lynne Spears, the items were stolen after their daughter was taken to the UCLA Medical Center after her meltdown on Jan 31.
The report was confirmed by Los Angeles Police officer Alex Martinez whos aid that they had responded to a call at Spears' house, but did not know what exactly happened.

Jolie recieves award for `A Mighty Heart`
Santa Barbara(California), Feb 03: Angelina Jolie traveled up the California coast to receive the Santa Barbara International Film Festival`s "Performance of the Year" award. The 32-year-old actress was honored Saturday for her portrayal of Mariane Pearl, wife of slain journalist Daniel Pearl, in the film "A Mighty Heart." It`s one of numerous awards Jolie has received for the role, but among the few she`s personally collected. "To be honest, I just heard that it was a beautiful festival, and one to take seriously," Jolie said. The award was presented by Clint Eastwood, director of Jolie`s upcoming drama "The Changeling." "Clint Eastwood! Don`t get me started," Jolie said. "I could talk forever about him. I could turn the whole evening into a Clint Eastwood evening. ... I think he`s just a genuinely great guy. He`s nice to everybody on set." Jolie arrived with her partner, Brad Pitt, who did not speak to the media but briefly posed with Jolie for photos. She said dealing with the insanity of Hollywood is much easier with Pitt and their children at her side. "I think it`s the only way to juggle it," she said. Besides her film career, Jolie, who won an Oscar for her part in the 1999 film "Girl, Interrupted," keeps busy with humanitarian efforts at home and abroad, including work with the United Nations as a goodwill ambassador.
