Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has given his wife Aishwarya Rai the perfect Valentine’s Day gift - by coming back home.
Big B’s baby has taken two days off from shooting for Rakeysh Mehra’s Delhi 6 and is back in Mumbai from Jaipur. This will be the couple’s first Valentine’s Day since their marriage and both are expected to spend some of it watching Jodhaa Akbar, in which Aishwarya plays the lead.
Abhishek wanted to surprise Aishwarya by landing in Mumbai without telling her, but decided against this. He requested the director for two days off, which were granted.
The grand premiere of Jodhaa Akbar will be held at Imax Adlabs in Wadala, with the entire Bachchan family in attendance. Papa Amitabh is expected to arrive back from Simla today also.

Saif and Kareena make love in public

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor came close to making love in public last Saturday evening.
The duo, along with Amrita Rao and her boyfriend Usman Afzaal were clubbing it at a lounger bar of a suburban five star hotel. It is here when witnesses noticed both Saif and Kareena grooving to a slow dance number on a couch. The atmosphere was very intense, as both Saif and Kareena’s eyes were fixated on each other, and both seemed very drunk. During this 5 minute thrill, Kareena kept calling Saif ‘Saifu’ in a deep voice.
A friend of Saif’s later said, “Kareena and he are madly in love. They just can’t jeep away from each other. They have surprised one and all by making their relationship not only stronger but more open.”

Chotte Nawab always likes to experiment with his look and hair. In every film we got to see him with a new make-over. Nowadays most of the time he is spotted with his new lovebird Kareena Kapoor. But recently we caught him alone at a tea-tasting workshop tasting the flavor of tea. He is very much addicted to tea and there he spoke out for his love for, ahem, tea. He sported a cool look with sunglasses and gelled hair.
Saif quips that he changes his get-up because the script demands to do so. He likes to get new and trendy looks in his films and does not want to stick to the same hair style and attire. Whether it is Dil Chahata Hai or Hum Tum, people get to see him in a totally different looks film after film. His varied looks in films lure audiences to the theatres. And hence they always expect something new from him with every new release.
Besides his love for tea, fashion and films, he is a musician by heart. He loves music a lot and even plays the guitar. Very soon Saif will try his hand in film production. Sallu puffs up his chest

The latest news is that Salman Khan will have to increase his weight by one-and-a-half times to fit into the role of Veer, in the film written by him. The role requires him to play a warrior.Salman has agreed to do the necessary. In return, he is charging Rs 25 crore for this role. Confirming Salman's fee for the film, producer of Veer, Vijay Galani says, "Yes, we are paying him about that much. It's a difficult role to portray. But Salman has taken to it well. He is working out diligently under the guidance of his private trainer. He is also on a special diet."It was being said that Salman has changed his eating habits. And the results have started showing. Galani replies, "Yes, Salman's chest has increased by at least 4 inches in the last four weeks. He still has a lot of work to do, but the way he is going about it, it won't take long."Talking about the film, Galani says, "Salman wrote it over a long period of time. We are making certain modifications, without changing the story." Galani clarifies that Salman has written the story, not the script. Hence, he will not get credit as the script-writer for the film. "We will give him credit as the story writer," Galani reveals.Buzz is, Priyanka may star opposite Salman in Veer. Salman wanted his girlfriend Katrina to star in the film but since Katrina has already signed too many films, she cannot fit Veer into her schedule. "Hence, Galani and director Anil Sharma are thinking of casting Priyanka," says our well-placed source in the industry.Galani dismisses the casting of Priyanka as a rumour, saying, "We will think of the heroine only after February 28, the day when the script is completed."Priyanka and Salman were good friends and have acted opposite each other in Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Salaam-e-Ishq. But things went wrong when Salman insisted that Katrina should star opposite him in London Dreams, instead of Priyanka. However, recently, Priyanka patched up with Salman. The first footage of new Indiana Jones movie The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has won critical acclaim--just days after it was released online. A trailer for the fourth outing for the intrepid archeologist--which shows clips of the first three films before cutting to star Harrison Ford swinging his bullwhip--has garnered praise from film fans across the world since it was made available earlier this week. One blogger writes, "As soon as the John Williams' Raiders overture kicks in, you cannot suppress a nostalgic smile. Aside from bits of obvious CGI trickery, the trailer is nearly a note-perfect recreation of Indy's past adventures." Fans have also praised Ford's return as Indiana Jones--insisting the 65-year-old's age makes no difference to the role he last played 18 years ago. The hotly anticipated movie is slated for a May release.

Katrina out of Yash Raj’s next

Yash Raj’s upcoming film to be directed by Siddharth Anand had an ensemble cast of four gorgeous girls Bipasha Basu, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Minnisha Lamba romancing Ranbir Kapoor. But from what we hear now, Katrina Kaif has been dropped out of the project. Siddharth Anand confirms the news, “Yes Katrina is not part of the film. Her character has been removed due to the length of the film. The film was getting too long. So I decided to remove her character from the film.” This comes in as a surprise to us especially when Yash Raj had recently signed a two film deal with Katrina and also issued a press release regarding the same. It is also believed that Katrina, who shared cold vibes with Bipasha Basu on the sets of Abbas Mastan’s Race, wasn’t really keen to share screen space with Bipasha again. “I will not like to comment on that because Katrina didn’t even shoot for my film”, says Siddharth Anand. “It was completely my decision to remove Katrina’s character and Katrina being a professional understands that it was a complete professional decision”.

Sohail Khan on a killing spree

No, Sohail is not following his brother’s footsteps and killing blackbucks... Rather, he is on a killing spree onscreen for his under-production film Kisaan which is directed by Puneet Sira. Sohail plays the title role and is a farmer in the film and due to circumstances; he is forced to kill three people. What’s the big deal you might ask? Sunny Deol puts 10 men into orbit with the swinging of one hand so what makes Sohail’s case so interesting? He had to kill three people over a period of three days in three different ways. And mind you, these weren’t your regular dishum dishum killings... rather from what we hear they were completely unconventional ways of killing which is eventually going to unease the viewing public. Says action director Mahendra Verma, “Yes, Sohail Khan had to kill three people in different ways, and it was grueling for him. But wait and watch. It’s one of the highlights of the film.” On another note, director Punit Sira was in for a surprise as well. After pack up when he went back to his room, he was surprised to find left-overs on the table and his bed and bathroom, soiled. He immediately checked his belongings fearing that he might have been robbed but strangely everything was intact. After a little investigation on the sets the next day, he found out that it was a spot boy who had used his room. The boy was feeling under the weather and decided to do something about it. It’s still a mystery how he managed to break into the room, but it was true filmy style nonetheless.

Aamir pips SRK in trade records | Who's the bigger Khan?

Both Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan pulled out all stops to promote their home productions last year, and though SRK seemed to have topped the box-office charts in 2007, Aamir seems all set to reign showbiz in 2008. Aamir’s forthcoming film, a remake of the Tamil thriller Ghajini has reportedly already made Rs 90 crore. According to reports, the Indian Film Company has bagged the domestic distribution rights for the Aamir Khan-starrer for an estimated Rs 53 crore. While its home video rights, overseas rights and satellite rights have been sold for another Rs 40 crore. Which brings the grand total to Rs 93 crore. “With Aamir at the helm we are convinced that Ghajini will be one of the biggest films of 2008, so it’s a fair deal for us,” CEO of TFC Advisors, Sandeep Bhargava said.Till now, the record for pre-release movie rights was for King Khan's Om Shanti Om, which was Rs 73 crore.The reported record price that Ghajini has fetched now puts Aamir one notch above Shah Rukh Khan as both actor and producer.

Saif’s mother says marriage will happen

Saif Ali Khan’s mother Sharmila Tagore has gone on record to clarify the ‘marriage’ issue concerning Saif and Kareena Kapoor.
“The marriage will happen when it has to. Right now, Saif is very happy and carefree. He is enjoying life to the fullest. I can only wish him luck. And the same for Kareena,” said the former actress to an Indian daily.
When asked about her daughter Soha Ali Khan’s love-life, she states, “I cannot control all that is said in the media. I can’t react to all the rumors. In fact, none of the rumors deserve to be clarified because they are baseless. Soha is not alone; we love her and are with her.”

CNN-IBN: Did you expect Jab We Met to be such a big success?
Imtiaz Ali: No, I did not expect it to be a success, failure or anything. I wasn't even thinking about the fate of the movie. I was just trying to make a good film. There was very little time and all the effort and thought was in making it.
CNN-IBN: You must have met someone as bumbling and as full of life as her? (Geet, Kareena Kapoor’s character)
Imtiaz Ali: Lots of them. The problem is that I have met a lot of girls who are like Geet and no one girl who is exactly like Geet. Most of them have been Punjabi girls and most of them I have met in Delhi.

Kareena Gets Third Time Lucky

Kareena Kapoor will finally team up with Aamir Khan in Rajkumar Hirani's next. Their pairing never took off earlier, with both Mani Ratnam's Lajjo and Vishal Bharadwaj's Mr Mehta and Mrs Singh being shelved.Kareena and Aamir will now be seen together in Hirani's next film, based on Chetan Bhagat's novel Five Point Someone. Earlier Kajol was being considered for the role but since she was busy with husband, Ajay Devgan's film, she was unable to do it. Apparently, Kareena and Raju had a hush-hush meeting last week, where he narrated the script to her. According to sources close to the actress, Kareena has just loved the Munnabhai films and is very keen to work with Hirani. The film is likely to be called Idiot and the story is about three IIT students. Hirani has also approached John Abraham, Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan for other roles in the film. The real story behind Kajol's exit and Kareena's entry goes something like this. So, though Kajol is going around saying that she hasn't yet read Raju's film and will only consider the film after she reads the script, it is a fact that when Hirani found out that she had poked fun at him by asking Shah Rukh Khan who Hirani was and if he was any good as a director, he felt insulted. He decided then to take the script to Kareena who has shown a keen interest and is trying to work out her dates. Well, Kajol's loss is certainly Kareena's gain.

The devoted husband, Abhi has taken two days off from his shooting of Dilli 6 to spend his first valentine with his wife Ash. Abhi was shooting along with the cast and crew of Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's, Dilli 6 in Jaipur, but he decided to take the day off on Valentine's Day. Abhi is extremely excited about his first valentine with wife Ash and he has no doubt planned something special.
A member from the team of Dilli 6 states "Initially Abhi wanted to surprise Ash by landing up in Mumbai without telling her about it, but later he decided to inform her." Abhi had requested director Rakeysh for two days off and he immediately agreed. After spending valentine day together, Ash and Abhi will also attend the premiere of wife Ash's Jodha Akbar together. Hence Abhi has taken two days off and will then resume shooting for Dilli 6 in Jaipur. Ash is also looking forward to spend the day with hubby Abhi, on valentine day, Ash says "Every day is a simple day and every day is a celebration. What you make of every moment is what it's all about." However Ash believes that as long as she and hubby Abhishek are together, they will enjoy in any situation.

Will Sushmita, Lara and Priyanka play Charlie's Angels?

According to sources, director Rohit Jugraj whose recent film Superstar did not receive rave reviews is not in the least bit deterred. In fact the director, who has once assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is now all set to work on his next film. This time around though, Rohit seems to be associated with some big names like Abbas-Mustan who will be producing his next flick. Rohit's next film is a desi action drama based on the Hollywood film Charlies Angels.
Rohit admits that he will be directing a film based on Charlie's Angels, he says "Yes, I'm directing a film for Abbas-Mustan. And it's the Charlie's Angels styled girls' action flick." Rohit has affirmed that he will be directing the film for producers Abbas-Mustan. There is also a buzz that Rohit is keen to rope in Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra to play the three sexy Charlie's Angels in his film. However right now Rohit refuses to confirm any actresses but claims that since Abbas-Mustan are pretty influential in the film industry, they will be able to rope in any actress on his wish list. But Rohit claims that his film will be different and apart from the three sexy girls in action, he will also delve deeper in to the psyche of his characters in the film.
Rohit Jugraj's first venture as director, James was a complete disaster. Rohit then had to start afresh and that is when he came up with the idea of Superstar. Although Superstar may not have done well at the box-office, critically it has been viewed as an average film by many. So from bad 'James' to average 'Superstar', Rohit has definitely come a long way. And now with producers like Abbas-Mustan backing him in his next project, there will definitely be expectations for him to deliver a hit. And if the director manages to rope in biggies like Sushmita, Lara and Priyanka, it will definitely be a treat for one and all to see these three beauties in action. When Jodhaa met Akbar

So, Jodhaa and Akbar show up today, in infinitely younger versions of the Mughal-Rajput royal pair engraved in the public mind as a heavyweight Prithviraj Kapoor in snowy whiskers and Durga Khote exuding the milk of maternal kindness.
In fact, Mughal-e-Azam, completed and released by K Asif 47 years ago after over a decade of labour — if not more — is so revered as ‘a historical’ film that it is an unmoveable benchmark, never mind its reissue in a falooda-tinted colour print.
Ironically, the classic hinged on the half-requited love between Prince Salim and the courtesan Anarkali whom most believe to be pure pulp fiction. She has inspired several movie chronicles, reeling off with a silent version in 1928 to spin-offs in Bombay as well as the southern film-producing centres. An account by director Nandlal Jaswantlal with Bina Rai in 1953 is still remembered, although for its excellent music score. Yet, even the most devout admirer of the Anarkali story is unsure whether she was made of flesh and blood or pen and paper, extended to the movie camera.

Jodhaa Akbar premiere

The stars of Bollywood were out in force for the premiere of Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Jodhaa Akbar. Hrithik Roshan was in attendance with his much pregnant wife Suzanne, and his in-laws. Aishwarya Rai came with her husband Abhishek Bachchan and his parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.
Aamir Khan was also around, so was his Sarfarosh co-star, Sonali Bendre. The sexy Kangana Ranaut came fully clothed for once, while Shabana Azmi and husband Javed Akhtar made brief appearances.

As Katrina Kaif goes 'Zara Zara Touch Me' in her new film RACE, the promos show the Glamour Goddess sporting a new makeover for the particular song, courtesy designer, Anaitha Shroff. Speaking about her new look, Katrina says, "Anaitha Shroff has done an excellent job with my new look in this film. The look in the song 'Zara Zara Touch Me' is completely different from what I have done earlier. It is a situation based song that defines my character, where I want to win over Saif's affection." The outfit for the song was specially purchased from Dubai, from a high-end designer, Jenny Packham. The beautiful flowery blue attire with a picturesque 60's look gave the song the lift it needed.Talking about the lady, who gave her the needed makeup for the song, Katrina quotes, "Whenever Meher Kohla has done make-up on me, the songs have been huge hits. So she is my lucky charm, and I hope that this song also proves to be a hit". Shah Rukh-Kajol film inspired from real life

Despite having the stellar cast comprising Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol , director Karan Johar describes his next film as the “biggest risk” of his life.The reason for such an admission is not that Johar isn’t confident about his starcast. Rather, he thinks he has got the perfect cast to play the leading roles. The reason why Johar thinks the movie is his biggest risk is because it is based on a real story that deals with many other sensitive issues like terrorism and racial and religious labeling.In the film, tentatively titled ‘Khan’ (or My Name Is Khan), SRK and Kajol play a married couple living in the US. SRK plays a Muslim. The story unravels against the backdrop of the twin tower attacks in New York.The first half of the story is inspired from the true tale of a couple who, Karan says, are based outside India. Karan has bought the rights to the story from the couple.The story is being penned by Shibani Bhatija. The first half of the plot is based on the true story. But Shibani has fictionalized the second half to make it a gripping emotional drama. Karan is learnt to have approved of the fictionalized part.“We have fictionalised the second half but the first half is based on a completely true story,” Johar is quoted as saying by a Mumbai newspaper.But now, the director faces the mammoth task of directing such a sensitive subject.In Karan’s words, he is “petrified and mortified” at the thought of directing this film. The crack in the Salman-Katrina relationship has spilled over to their professional lives. Buzz doing the rounds is that Katrina is moving out of Salman’s shadow and wanting to sign films opposite other actors. Changed equationThe latest news of Katrina signing Blue opposite Akshay and a Yash Raj project with John Abraham strengthens this theory. A source reveals, “Katrina is actually rejecting scripts pairing Salman and her. She doesn’t want to be typecast with him and is choosing other leading men. Earlier, there was a notion that if a producer had signed Salman for a movie then getting Katrina would be easy. But that’s not the case anymore.” Recently, a source revealed that Katrina has opted out of Vipul Shah’s London Dreams. The project, initially crafted by Rajkumar Santoshi, was taken over by Shah who wanted to rope in Salman and Katrina for the film. However, Kaif has distanced herself citing date problems.

Manyata is pregnant with Sanjay's child

It was an auspicious day yesterday but that's not the only reason why Sanjay Dutt and Manyata hurriedly tied the knot last morning. According to sources, the new Mrs Dutt is pregnant. And that explains the need for the formal shaadi.
Last year, in a midnight conversation with a MIDDAY reporter, Sanjay Dutt had admitted that he was married to Maanayata. She has been living in his apartment at Imperial Heights for over a year.

A industry insider says, "His close friends Bunty Walia and Sanjay Gupta had been present at the wedding last year, and everyone knows they are husband and wife, so why did they get married again in front of their friends and family? It was almost as if they wanted to make it known that they are married. Manyata Dutt’s ‘first husband’ says she isn`t divorced

New Delhi, Feb 12: A day after Sanjay Dutt married his girlfriend Manyata in Mumbai, reports have emerged suggesting that the one time item girl is not divorced from her first husband. Top Bollywood director Karan Johar has jokingly told an Indian reporter that one day he will leave the Dharma fortune to Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan.
Talking to an Indian daily, Karan answered, “I have a joke with Aryan, I always tell him to be nice to me, because someday you will inherit everything that I have.”
Karan reitarated that Shah Rukh’s kids are the closest that he is going to het to kids for a while, so they will get everything.

Katrina in new Yash Raj film

Kabir Khan, the director of Kabul Express which released in Dec 2006, is now set to direct his next film. It was said that the film would star John Abraham and Neil Mukesh in lead roles. Now, the latest addition to the cast of the film is Katrina Kaif. Katrina will play the female lead opposite John Abraham. The film which will go on the floors in July this year will release in 2009. The rest of the cast members are still being finalized.Says Kabir Khan, "This is a very relevant and contemporary story and very close to my heart. I am excited to start my second film under the Yash Raj banner."

Of Ash and handicaps: Abhishek reveals all

When actor Abhishek Bachchan walked in for the Indian Masters, a golf tour event, on Sunday afternoon, he seemed like an unlikely participant, but the actor confessed that he's working on his handicaps.
"I am working on it. It's abysmal right now," he said, grinning.
And considering that the actor just turned 32, is age a handicap?
"No, I don't think age creeps up on any one. It's wonderful," was the curious reply.

Sunny’s time starts now

Sunny Deol, who is working with Neerraj Pathak for his home production Right Yaa Wrong, will also star in his next film, Man. However, there is a condition attached - Sunny must get a lean look for the film.Sunny needs to lose at least 10 kgs by March 15. When contacted, Neerraj Pathak confirmed the story. He says, “Yes, it’s true that I want Sunny to have a lean look in my next film. Man is an action film with a difference. Sunny needs to have a fitter body because that’s what his role demands.”He adds, “Sunny is one of the best action heroes in the industry right now, but he needs to reduce 10 kgs to get the look we want. I’m sure he will take it as a challenge and work towards it.”So, has Neerraj challenged Sunny to lose 10 kgs by March 15? He says, “It is a sort of challenge. In a way we both have different challenges to meet by March 15. I have to complete the script, he has to lose weight.”Says Neerraj, “We meet every day either in the office or at the location of Right Yaa Wrong. And every day Sunny asks me to update him on the script’s progress, while I ask him about his fitness regime.”Neerraj tells us that Sunny has already lost 2-3 kgs. “Sunny is gets up in the morning and works out for four hours while I work on my script. He has already lost 2-3 kgs and I am 60 per cent done with the script. Let’s see who wins the race by March 15,” he says.

Pepsi has roped in Bollywood newcomers Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone as brand ambassadors. They will be seen with superstar Shah Rukh Khan in its first campaign this year. 'It is a privilege for me to join Pepsi's league of such eminent achievers. I would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Deepika as Pepsi's new brand ambassador. It has been a great experience working with SRK and Deepika in the new Pepsi Ad,' said Ranbir, who debuted with 'Saawariya' last year, in a press statement. Deepika, who starred opposite Shah Rukh in 'Om Shanti Om', said: 'It was fun working together with Ranbir and Shah Rukh Khan in the new Pepsi ad.' This is the first time that Ranbir and Deepika will be seen together on screen. The creative minds behind the commercial are Agnello Dias and Soumitra Karnik from J Walter Thompson (JWT). Abhinav Deo from Ramesh Deo Productions has directed the commercial. The young stars join Pepsi's brand ambassador team comprising John Abraham as well as leading cricketers Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, Sreesanth and Robin Uthappa.

Oh Ghosh, a film with Shahid

Ram Gopal Varma's muse, Jiah Khan has finally bagged a role in director Ken Ghosh's next. She will play the lead role opposite Shahid Kapoor. The yet untitled film is primarily based on music and dance. Choreographer Marty, who has earlier choreographed for singers Justin Timerlake and Britney Spears will fly down to Mumbai to choreograph for the film.Industry insiders say that Ken had earlier approached Kangana Ranaut, Amrita Rao and many other actresses in tinsel town but finally decided to cast Jiah Khan in the film. “After considering many actresses Ken Ghosh has finally decided to go ahead and shoot the film with Jiah Khan,” says the source.In the film, the choreography is expected to be different from the usual Bollywood style. Marty will choreograph the dance sequence for Shahid, who is known to be a good dancer amongst Bollywood actors.

Raj Kaushal suffers heart attack

Mandira Bedi and Raj KaushalMandira Bedi’s husband director Raj Kaushal suffered a heart attack last week and was admitted to Lilavati hospital, in Bandra. According to sources close to the film director Kaushal had complained of chest and shoulder pain following which he was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital. Thankfully Kaushal is out of danger now and will be discharged today.A friend close to Raj reveals, “Yes, Raj was admitted to Lilavati hospital’s ICU a few days back. It was a minor heart attack. Thank God, he is out of danger now and will be discharged soon. I think his hectic lifestyle and the stress level is taking a toll on him.”Raj had complained of chest and shoulder pain a few days back when his wife Mandira was out of town. On her return, Mandira called the doctor and he immediately advised them to admit him to the hospital.

Karan Johar has asked the sexy starlet to get her figure toned to perfection, so that he can show her in a bikini on the sex-frilled Miami beach. Karan has roped in Priyanka to star alongside Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham in his film Dostana. Talking about this, Priyanka told an Indian daily, “I won’t get into a bikini for Karan.”
The film is expected to be a remake of the yesteryear classic, of the same name, that starred Amitabh Bachchan and Shatrughan Sinha.

Katrina has replaced Priyanka in Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision’s film Blue
Priyanka Chopra has seen red in Blue! She is no longer a part of Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision’s film due to obvious reasons. As reported ‘Akshay-Priyanka back together’ (HiTLIST, February 9) Akki was keen on Piggy Chops doing Blue, directed by adfilmmaker Tony. It is learnt that Akshay’s wife Twinkle does not want her hubby to feature in a film opposite Priyanka with whom he was rumouredly linked. Says a source, “When Blue was first conceived, there was scope for only one heroine — Lara Dutta. Later a role was created especially for Priyanka — at Akshay’s behest.” With Priyanka stepping out, the producers immediately pencilled in on Katrina. This will be Akshay and Katrina’s fifth film together. Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision spokesperson, Parag Desai confirms that Katrina is doing Blue. He says, “Katrina and Sunil Shetty have been signed recently for Blue.”

Smriti Irani and her mentor Ekta Kapoor have patched up and Ekta says she wants her most popular 'bahu' to come back to Balaji Telefilms.
The rapprochement happened when Smriti came to Balaji's first awards function and danced on-stage with Gautami Gadgil, her replacement in Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
"Smriti came and performed on stage with Gautami Gadgil and Shah Rukh Khan. What a performance! I want to thank the 10 TV girls who did the Chak De! India act with Shah Rukh, especially Smriti. In fact, Karan Johar said on stage that she's the real Tulsi," Ekta said.
The awards function, held February 1 in Mumbai, was a big hit especially with superstar Shah Rukh Khan and ace director Karan Johar pitching in and performing at the show. And now Ekta wants Smriti to come back and work for her again.
"It can happen any time Smriti wants to. Our doors are always open for her. I'd be honoured if Smriti comes back to us. I'd love to do something in collaboration with her. I SMSed and told her that the show couldn't have been complete without her."
Ekta is singing praises about Karan Johar, who supervised the entire show.
She said, "I've come to the conclusion that Karan Johar is one of the best human beings in the world. My mother was in tears when he even helped me get ready for our dance together on stage. Karan just took charge. 'You're usually not well dressed. You'll wear what I tell you.' I'm totally indebted to Karan and Shah Rukh for life.
"Shah Rukh was so wonderful with all the TV actors. He made each one feel so special. He won himself a whole new section of female fans in the audience. Sanjay Dutt and Manyata will be getting married according to the Hindu customs at a common friend’s place on Monday, says a source.
Manyata admitted on Saturday that she has formally married her long-time boyfriend, Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt.
The actor had earlier denied reports that they were married.
However, reports were doing the rounds after the couple jointly issued an advertisement in newspapers congratulating Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on his 82nd birthday last month.
IANS had earlier reported that the duo had a low-profile registered marriage in the presence of family members and close friends.
Dutt was always expected to tie the knot with Manyata alias Shehnaaz Shaikh, once a Bollywood starlet, who has been seen with him during the highs and lows in his personal and professional life.
Ever since the Munnabhai star, convicted in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast case last year, was released from his latest jail stint in November, Manyata has been constantly seen with him at all public events, including his film shoots.

Farah Khan gives birth to bonny triplets

Mumbai, Feb 11: Bollywood director and choreographer Farah Khan gave birth to two bonny girls and one baby boy late Sunday night at Mumbai’s Jaslok hospital. Farah’s husband Shirish Kunder and her brother Sajid Khan were beside her at the time of the delivery. Sajid Khan told Zee News that both Farah and the babies were in the pink of health and doing well.The ace director’s close friends which include Shahrukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Karan Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala are expected to arrive at the hospital soon.Earlier last month, producer-director Karan Johar and Shah Rukh Khan`s wife Gauri Khan had organized a baby shower for Farah with a lavish function held at SRK`s palatial Bandra bungalow `Mannat` in Mumbai. The function was attended by stars like Rani Mukherjee, Priyanka Chopra, Karisma Kapoor, Tabu and wives of Farhan Akhtar, Suneil Shetty, Atul Agnihotri and many others.Hope these bundle of joys will multiply Farah’s happiness!
